Once you've tasted strawberries fresh out of the field, it will be hard to go back to the ones from the grocery store. Come out and taste the farm fresh difference!
Strawberries ripen in our area during the first two weeks of July, so mark your calendars and make plans to come out, pick your own, and stock the freezer. Children are encouraged to pick alongside their parents, and anyone under the age of 12 can Pick-a-Pint for free! Never picked before? No worries. Training is provided free-of-charge, as are quart containers and flats to pick into. Just come on out!
Starting in 2018 we will have pre-picked berries available for those who are interested.
Clearwater Farms was established in 2011 on the site of Soders horse farm. We currently have 2.3 acres of strawberries, 1/2 acre of garlic, 500 blueberry plants, 250 newly planted honeyberry plants and 50+ head of beef cattle. This spring we hope to welcome as many as 25 calves to the herd.
Steve comes from a long line of farmers. He started farming at about the age of 5, riding with his dad on the equipment and in the pickup to the implement store.
